One of our trustees, Michael O’Neill, was interviewed on the Radio 4 Today programme to highlight shielding issues when CLL patients are left off the vulnerability register.
We have been very concerned that CLL patients on ‘Watch and Wait’ have been excluded from the government’s ‘most vulnerable’ register, and are therefore not able to receive additional help. This Radio 4 interview is just part of our campaign to have this changed. We hope to be able to report in the near future that the government position has been reversed, and that ‘Watch and Wait’ patients are included.
